Contix

Contix Privacy Policy

Effective 2026-07-29. Contix is a paid iOS app for logging concerts you attend. This policy says what data exists and where it goes. The short version: your data stays with you.

What stays on your device and in your iCloud

Your tickets, including every detail you type (shows, seats, tiers, prices, notes), the photos you attach, and the artwork you add, are stored on your device. If iCloud is on, Apple syncs them through your private iCloud database. We run no account system and no server that holds your tickets. We cannot read, access, or recover them.

Exports you create are files you own. They go only where you send them.

What reaches our servers

Two things, and only these:

  1. Catalog reads. The app downloads the concert catalog (artists, tours, shows, artwork) from our server. These reads are anonymous. We do not log who read what.
  2. Show requests. If you use "Request a show", we receive the text you typed and a random installation identifier. The identifier is generated on your device, is linked to nothing about you, and exists only to rate-limit the form. We use the request text to decide what to add to the catalog, and for nothing else.

What we do not do

Sharing to Instagram

Sharing a story hands the image to the Instagram app on your device through Apple's standard mechanism. What happens after that is governed by Instagram's terms, not ours. Nothing is sent to Instagram unless you tap share.

Data deletion

Delete a ticket in the app and it is gone from your device and your iCloud. Delete the app and its data goes with it (your iCloud copy follows Apple's deletion rules). Show requests can be deleted on request.
